WhoTune.com announced the launch of their new Fan Funding platform for unsigned and independent artists. WhoTune.com is an online music community that offers promotional tools for artists.
Artists can create a project video which tells potential sponsors what the funds raised will be used for, such as recording a new single or album, video production and tour support. Artists then set a target for the funding amount & a timeframe in which to reach the goal amount. Sponsors will receive incentives, like T-Shirts or concert tickets, for different pledge level.
Once the funding goal amount is reached in the time frame selected, the funds are drawn down via Paypal & made available to the artist to complete their project. If the goal amount is not reached No money is taken & the artist is free to try again.
